Unusual oval shape, silk-stitch coil construction. Vibrant, contrasty red-orange
colors achieved through prolonged dyeing in secret mixtures of achiote,
annatto fruit, and the p'ucham trumpet-flower vine. Ochre color derives
from the azafran (tumeric) root. Jagua fruit extracts, cocobolo wood cinders,
and p'ucham vine extracts are mixed with "tierra" (river-mud) to create the rich, velvety black.
